The golden wonder is the golden-yellow bred form of a panchax from India and Sri Lanka. It hangs motionless just below the surface, with a flattened head and an upturned mouth: the build of a true surface hunter.
Anything small enough eventually disappears into that mouth, so do not combine it with nano fish or shrimp. It is also an excellent jumper, so with this species a tight-fitting cover is genuinely necessary.
