Privacy policy

BlubHub is a local-first app: your readings, reminders, inhabitants and photos live on your own device, not on our servers. This policy describes what happens to your data — and above all, what doesn't.

Everything stays on your device
All data you enter in BlubHub — water values, reminders, inhabitants, equipment, notes and photos — is stored in a local database on your phone or tablet. No account is needed and the app works fully offline.
If you delete the app, that local data is gone. If you export a backup file yourself (Account → Backup), you manage that file: it lives wherever you store it.
Permissions
Camera and photo library: only used at the moment you attach a photo to an inhabitant or a test session. Photos stay local, unless you use the ohhi.nl integration (see below).
Notifications: only for the reminders you set yourself (water change, testing, feeding). They are scheduled locally on your device; no server is involved.
No tracking, no ads
BlubHub contains no ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics and no crash-reporting services. The app does not connect to our servers — except when you use the optional ohhi.nl integration yourself.
Optional ohhi.nl integration
You can connect BlubHub to an ohhi.nl account. Your readings, reminders, notes and inhabitant photos are then backed up to your own folder at ohhi.nl, and you can share your tank with people you choose (housemates, for example). BlubHub only reads and writes in the folder you pick when connecting.
The ohhi.nl privacy policy applies to the data you sync this way. You can disconnect at any time from the account screen; synced data is deleted in your ohhi.nl account.
Your rights
For local data you are in control: viewing, editing and deleting happens right in the app. For data synced to ohhi.nl, the GDPR rights described in the ohhi.nl privacy policy apply — access, correction, deletion and export.
