Care at a glance
The midas blenny is golden yellow with blue rings around the eyes and swims unlike other blennies: with an undulating, eel-like motion it hangs in open water among the anthias. It thereby mimics peaceful plankton feeders and can change colour to blend in with them even better.
It is peaceful, hardy and easy to feed with frozen food and algae sheets. Give it a hole in the rock as a fixed sleeping spot and cover the tank, because this species too can jump out.
