Care at a glance
The neon goby from the Caribbean is black with a glowing neon blue stripe along the flank. Its profession is remarkable: it is a cleaner fish that removes parasites from larger reef fish, and those fish come to it of their own accord.
It stays small, is peaceful and therefore fits even a modest reef tank. Give it a small hole as a home base, feed small frozen foods and expect a short life of at most a few years; it does breed readily in captivity.
