Care at a glance

The bicolor blenny is grey-blue at the front and orange at the rear, with a blunt head and two small tufts above the eyes. It hops from rock to rock and vanishes into a hole at the slightest disturbance, only to peer out again inquisitively.

It grazes algae off the rock and therefore needs grown-in stone plus vegetable supplements; if it gets too little, it will sometimes start nipping at corals. Keep one per tank, because towards its own kind and other blennies it is distinctly territorial.
