Care at a glance

The canary fang blenny from Fiji is an even canary yellow and drifts calmly through open water rather than perching on rock. Its secret lies in its lower jaw: it has two grooved fangs with which it delivers a painful bite to an attacker, which is why larger fish leave it alone.

That is precisely why it is so relaxed itself and can safely be added to a mixed reef tank. It is peaceful towards tankmates, takes ordinary frozen food and leaves corals and shrimp alone.
