Care at a glance
The magnificent anemone is the classic postcard host anemone: a large disc with long, bulb-tipped tentacles and a vividly coloured column in purple, green or blue. In the wild it sits high on the reef edge, where it gets abundant light and flow.
That is exactly what makes it demanding: it asks for very strong lighting, powerful flow and absolutely stable water parameters in a long-running tank. If it becomes unhappy it will wander and can end up in a pump, so screen every intake.
