Care at a glance

The condy anemone from the Caribbean has long, slender tentacles often tipped in pink or purple and is one of the most widely sold anemones. Important to know: it comes from a different part of the world than clownfish, which therefore rarely accept it as a host.

It also likes to wander through the tank, where it can sting corals and sometimes catches a small fish or shrimp. Put it in a tank without sensitive corals, screen your pumps and feed it a piece of fish or shrimp weekly.

Good to know

  • Potent sting — keep distance in the tank
  • Preys on shrimp and snails
