Beaded sea anemone

Care at a glance

The beaded anemone owes its name to the rows of bead-like swellings on its tentacles, giving them a ribbed, almost crocheted look. It buries its foot in the sand down to solid ground and then sits deeply anchored.

It is a true host anemone accepted by several clownfish species, but it is sensitive and asks for a long-running tank with stable parameters. Give it a deep sand bed, moderate to strong lighting and the occasional small piece of meaty or fish food.
