Care at a glance

The skunk clownfish is a warm orange-brown with a single narrow white stripe running along the back from nose to tail, without the vertical bars of other clownfish. It comes from the Indian Ocean, where it lives with carpet anemones.

It is the most peaceful clownfish in the trade and defends its spot far less fiercely than, say, the maroon or tomato clownfish. Do not combine it with other clownfish species, keep it as a pair and feed a varied diet of meaty and algae-based foods.
