The pygmy cory from the Amazon stays under three centimetres and behaves unlike most corydoras: for much of the day it shoals in open water rather than working the bottom.
That only happens in a decent-sized group; with a few fish it stays hidden and you will hardly see it. It has a small mouth and therefore needs fine food, and its size makes it a good fit for a small, planted tank with other small, calm fish.
