Care at a glance
The bronze cory is the best-known corydoras of all and shines bronze to coppery; the albino form with a pink body and red eyes belongs to the same species. It is exceptionally hardy and tolerates a wide temperature range.
If you see it dashing to the surface for a gulp of air, that is normal: it can absorb oxygen through its gut. If it happens strikingly often, though, that does point to a lack of oxygen. Give it fine sand, a group of its own kind and sinking food.
