Care at a glance
Lubbock's fairy wrasse stays smaller than most of its relatives and occurs in several colour forms, from yellow-orange to reddish purple, depending on the collecting region. Males show their colours mainly during display and are notably plainer for the rest of the day.
It is peaceful and its size lets it fit a somewhat smaller reef tank too. Give it open swimming space in the upper layer, feed small frozen foods spread through the day and provide a closed lid, because it jumps.
