Care at a glance

The lemonpeel angelfish is an even bright yellow with a striking blue ring around the eye and blue edging on the fins. Juveniles additionally carry a dark blotch on the flank, which fades over the years.

It grazes algae off the rock, but it is also known for nipping coral polyps and clams; in a mixed reef tank it is therefore a gamble. Keep one, provide plenty of grown-in rock and supplementary vegetable food, and do not combine it with other dwarf angels.
