Care at a glance
HC Cuba is the smallest carpeting plant in the hobby: minute round leaves on creeping stems that together form a velvety green cloth. Under strong light it produces so much oxygen that the carpet becomes covered in glittering bubbles.
It is a demanding plant: it asks for strong light, CO2 and a nutrient-rich substrate, or it weakens and detaches. Plant it in small tufts with a little space between them, and trim a mat that has grown too thick in good time, or it will come loose from below and float up.
