Care at a glance
The powder blue tang from the Indian Ocean is pale blue with a black face, white throat and a yellow dorsal fin: one of the most beautiful reef fish there is. It is also one of the trickiest, because it is notably prone to white spot and other skin parasites.
It asks for a large, mature tank with strong flow, plenty of grown-in rock and daily vegetable food. Never add it to a freshly started system, quarantine new arrivals and keep exactly one, as it tolerates no other blue tangs alongside it.
