The penguin tetra from the western Amazon has a black lengthwise stripe that runs on into the lower tail lobe, which makes it look tilted. It also holds itself at an angle, head up, which completes the penguin-like silhouette.
It is easy, peaceful and enjoys some flow and open swimming space in the upper half of the tank. Keep it in a school and cover the tank; if startled it can make a considerable jump.
