Care at a glance

The kubotai rasbora from the border region of Thailand and Myanmar is barely two centimetres long and has an apple-green sheen that only really shows in a large group. It was described as recently as 2000 and is now a nano-tank classic.

Keep it in a school of ten or more, because in small numbers it hides and you will hardly see it. It has a small mouth and therefore needs fine food, and does best in a calm, densely planted tank without large tankmates.
