Care at a glance
Anacharis is a classic, fast-growing stem plant with narrow leaves densely set around the stem. It grows so vigorously that it is often used to mature a new aquarium quickly and stay ahead of algae.
It tolerates cooler temperatures and modest light, which also makes it suitable for an unheated tank. Important: outside its native range this species is invasive in many countries, so never throw trimmings into a ditch or pond, but dispose of them with green waste.
