Care at a glance
Flame moss gets its name from its upright, slightly twisted fronds that resemble small flames — a very different growth pattern from the flat, spreading java moss. Attached to a piece of wood or rock, it grows slowly into a compact, distinctively shaped cushion.
Care is just as easy as with other Taxiphyllum mosses: little light, no CO2 needed, and tolerant of a wide range of temperatures and water values. Give it time to attach itself and trim it occasionally to keep its characteristic upright shape.
