Care at a glance
Dwarf pennywort has small, round leaves on thin creeping stems that call clover to mind. It grows in every direction: across the substrate, up along wood and even to the water surface, which makes it exceptionally versatile in an aquascape.
It is fast-growing and undemanding, although under low light it turns sparse and starts stretching upwards. Trim it back regularly and tuck loose stems between rock or wood; they will root there on their own.
