This cryptocoryne stands out from most other species for its long, wavy leaves, which can grow up to and above the water surface — an impressive background plant for larger tanks. The leaf edges are ruffled, giving the plant its characteristic lush look.
Like most cryptocorynes it grows slowly and copes fine with low light and CO2-poor conditions, making it well suited to a low-maintenance tank. Don't move it around too often: cryptocorynes react to disturbance with so-called "crypt melt", where leaves die back before new growth takes over.
