Care at a glance
Pectinia grows in thin, irregularly folded plates with sharp edges and points, giving the colony a jagged, almost spiky structure. Often the edges are fluorescent green or purple while the tissue between stays darker.
It is a surprisingly fast-growing stony coral that does well under moderate light and gentle flow. It is aggressive towards neighbours, though: it extends sweeper tentacles, so leave plenty of space around it, also because it expands sideways quickly.
