Care at a glance
The curly-cue anemone from the Caribbean has long, translucent tentacles with spiral bands of stinging cells, which makes them look curled. It usually keeps its foot deep in a crevice, showing only its crown of tentacles.
In the wild it shares its spot with pistol shrimp and cleaner shrimp, which find protection among its tentacles. It is hardy and easy, but its stinging cells are potent: keep a distance from corals and screen your pump intakes.
