Care at a glance
The candy cane coral consists of separate trumpet-shaped cups on short stalks, usually green with a pale stripe reminiscent of a candy cane. It is one of the calmest LPS in the tank: it grows steadily, stings nothing and has no visible quirks.
It originally comes from quiet lagoons and therefore dislikes direct flow; place it low in the tank on sand or a sheltered ledge. At night it extends long feeding tentacles — that is the moment to give it a small piece of mysis. Every fed cup eventually splits, and so a frag of three heads slowly grows into a cluster.
