Care at a glance
Anacropora is a delicate, fast-growing SPS coral with thin, sparse branches often found in vivid pink, green or gold. It belongs to the same family as acropora, but its branches are even finer and more fragile.
It's notoriously touchy about swings in water parameters, more so than most other SPS corals, and is therefore mainly a coral for experienced reefers with a long-established, stable tank. Give it strong light and vigorous flow, and keep calcium, alkalinity and magnesium as constant as possible — even minor deviations cause it to lose tissue and the branches die back from the tips.
