Branching bubble coral

Care at a glance

The branching bubble coral resembles the ordinary bubble coral but has smaller, more densely packed vesicles on a branching skeleton, which makes the whole look like a mass of foam. By day the vesicles are inflated; at night they give way to feeding tentacles.

This species too extends long sweeper tentacles that burn neighbouring corals, so leave generous space. It likes subdued light and gentle flow, which makes it a good fit lower in the tank, out of the direct stream of the pumps.
