Care at a glance
Bartlett's anthias is purple-pink above and yellow below, with a sharp boundary between the two colours; males are more intense and have a longer tail. It comes from the Pacific, where it shoals above the reef slope, picking plankton from the current.
Like other anthias it needs to eat often: spread the daily ration over several small feedings, or it will lose weight without you noticing. Keep one male with several females in a spacious tank with flow and plenty of crevices to sleep in.
