Care at a glance
Galaxea consists of countless small, star-shaped polyps on pointed calices, which together form a glittering, starry-sky surface. By day the polyps are fully extended, giving the colony a soft, downy appearance.
Behind that friendly look hides one of the most aggressive corals: at night it extends sweeper tentacles that reach far beyond the colony and burn everything they touch. So give it considerably more space than its size suggests, under moderate light and moderate flow.
