Care at a glance
The cynarina is a single, large polyp with translucent, strongly inflating tissue through which the underlying skeleton shows as a fine ribbed pattern. By day it can swell into a glassy dome; at night it extends long feeding tentacles.
It comes from deeper water and therefore likes subdued light and gentle flow; strong flow keeps it closed. Place it on the bottom or a flat piece of rock and feed it a small piece of meaty or fish food in the evening, and it will grow noticeably better.
