Care at a glance

Clove polyps grow as separate polyps on short stalks from a thin crust over the rock, each with eight elegantly feathered tentacles. In flow they all sway together, creating a lively field of tiny palm trees.

They are easy and grow fast under moderate light and moderate flow, which is immediately their downside: they steadily overgrow their neighbours. Put them on a loose rock you can move, and you keep their spread under control.
