Care at a glance
The birdsnest coral forms a dense tangle of thin, brittle branches that genuinely calls a bird's nest to mind. It comes in pink, green and yellow varieties, and the colour depends strongly on the light intensity it sits under.
It grows fast under moderate to strong light and vigorous flow, and fragments that break off simply grow on into new colonies. Do not place it too close to larger neighbours: with its thin branches it loses every fight for space.
