Care at a glance
The Luzon starfish is a small, spiny star in red to reddish brown, often with arms of different lengths. That is because it divides: it splits in two and both halves grow back. Over time a healthy specimen can turn into a small group this way.
It is reef safe and forages over rock and glass for biofilm and leftover food. It is somewhat tougher than most small starfish, but it still needs a mature tank with stable salinity and slow acclimation.
