Care at a glance

Fromia indica is deep red with darker tips and rarely grows larger than a palm. Like the other fromias it creeps slowly over rock and glass, grazing the thin layer of film and detritus that builds up by itself in a mature tank.

It leaves corals, fish and shrimp alone, but it is sensitive to the move. Acclimatise it very slowly, ideally by drip over an hour or more, and do not lift it through the air. In a young or bare tank it finds too little to eat and slowly wastes away.
