The BlubHub website is live
From today BlubHub has a site of its own: a species database you can use without the app, plus the privacy and support pages the app points to.
BlubHub is a logbook for your aquarium: log water values, watch trends, set care reminders and keep an overview of your inhabitants. Until now that existed only as an app in development. From today there is a website too, and it is more than an announcement.
What is on the site
The largest part is the species database. It holds hundreds of fish, corals, invertebrates and plants, each with a care level, a minimum tank volume, temperature and pH bands, temperament and diet. You can filter by fresh or salt water, by what fits in your litres and by what suits your temperature, and every species has a page with an illustration and a piece of care text.
- Species database. Filter by water, tank volume, temperature, temperament and diet, with a category page per selection that you can share.
- Privacy and support. The pages the app stores point to: what stays local, what the optional ohhi.nl link does, and answers to the questions we get most.
- Six languages. Dutch, English, German, French, Italian and Spanish, the same languages as the app itself.
Why a site of its own
A store listing is short and sits behind a download button. The information that helps you in the shop, such as whether that one fish fits your tank, should be there to look up at the moment you are standing in front of it. So the species database lives on the web, separate from the app, and works without an account.
The app itself stores your measurements, reminders, inhabitants and photos in a local database on your device. No account is needed and the app works entirely without an internet connection.
What is still coming
The app will arrive in the App Store and on Google Play before long. Until then the site keeps growing: more species, more illustrations and more care texts. What changes, we write up here. For questions there is the support page, and what happens with your data is in the privacy policy. Since September 2026, the app is on the App Store and Google Play.
