Electric blue hermit crab

Care at a glance

The electric blue hermit crab has deep blue legs banded in white and black with orange feet, which makes it one of the most beautiful hermits for a reef tank. It is active by day and clambers tirelessly over the rockwork.

It grows somewhat larger than the small blue leg hermit and is correspondingly bolder towards snails and its own kind. Provide plenty of empty shells in increasing sizes, and it will stick to moving house rather than fighting.
